I ordered this stucco after much debate back and forth on whether i wanted to go with traditional stucco or synthetic. I'm so happy I went with this product. Having never stuccoed before, I wasn't looking forward to the preparation involved in going the traditional route. This product requires no wire, no dusty chemicals to mix, and best of all, goes on easily and is easily paintable.
The preparation and application is straight forward. Just prep the area with a concrete bonding agent (I used Quickrete). mix the stucco up with a drill mixer and go to work. Application is not tough. Start on an area you feel comfortable hiding if necessary until you get the hang of it -which wont take long. I ordered 1 five gallon bucket and was able to cover my 13ft. x 6ft. (L-shaped) outdoor kitchen...barely. My thought at the time was to get as much done as I could with one bucket and order more if necessary. I didn't have to.
One thing I will say about this product is, it bonds VERY well once dried -which is a good thing. To give you an idea, i got some on my clothes and belt when applying. The clothes are now in the trash after the stucco didn't come out in the wash, and the stucco is still on my belt (2 months later). Don't even think about getting this off of concrete (or whatever flooring you have your project on) once it's dried. Not even with a pressure washer. My advice is, mask everything off very well, and be prepared to hose it off immediately if spilled.
If you have never stuccoed before, or even if you have, this is the way to go.
I had my doubts about going the synthetic route. But for me, This was the right choice.
Excellent Product! Really worked with no metal lath or base coat. Looks Terrific even though I am not a contractor. Thank you
This is without a doubt the best stucco I have ever used . Very easy to work with and finish is great,
